Centaur for all applications: stubble work, primary soil tillage, top soil loosening and seedbed preparation
The attraction of an arable farming system is one that enhances yield or cuts cost. In both cases conservation soil tillage comes out favourably.
The main feature of conservation tillage is the use of a cultivator rather than the plough for primary soil tillage. A faster breakdown of straw residues is ensured by the even incorporation of trash from such a cultivator into the top soil leaving a virtually straw-free surface – ideal pre-conditions for a trouble-free and successful sowing operation.
Varying factors in the field require different technology– Centaur Special or Centaur Super
Differing methods are required for soil preparation, depending on the sowing method and site conditions. A decreased operational intensity at sowing requires an increased operational inten sity during the time of soil tillage and vice versa. High yielding areas with copious quantities of straw require a different operational technique when compared to sites with a lower yield potential.
For this reason, the Centaur combination tine and disc cultivator is available in two versions: Centaur Special and Centaur Super. The models differ in the arrangement and confi guration of both the tine segment and the following levelling disc assembly.
The Centaur is available in working widths of 3, 4 and 5 m. |
